June 19, 2018: Corey Lewandowski, former Trump campaign manager, responds to US immigrant crackdown, particularly an immigrant girl with Down syndrome being separated from her mother, with a mocking "womp-womp" during an appearance on Fox News with (former DNC senior advisor) Zac Petkanas responding. MSNBC's Rachel Maddow broke down and abruptly ended the last segment of her show while describing the Trump administration's use of "tender age" shelters to house migrant babies and toddlers being separated from their parents at the border.
There is no lack of heat on any side of an issue. As our country devolves into an inhumane and foolish state, righteousness accompanies positions. The level-headed amongst us, perhaps wisely so, tout communion between partisans, humanity over rigid posts on the edges of belief. You might say a blending. In Apples & Oranges the fruits are audio animated by the voices of Lewandowski (apples) and Maddow (oranges); a simple gesture echoing a moment of intractable difference.
